The Sheepherders Inn RestaurantA trip to Sacramento would not be complete without visiting one of its most historic restaurants. The Sheepherders Inn, originally built in 1913 as the Citrus Inn, is the oldest existing building in Rancho Cordova, California.
Sit back and relax in our fire place lounge, visit with friends or make new ones in our oversized horse shoe bar. The Grand Dining Room, which was designed for comfort with large booths, gorgeous chandeliers and a roaring fire, is a room truly worthy of a fine meal. The Menu
Early in the morning he kindles an almond wood fire that adds a subtle smoke while searing in the natural juices of the fresh fish, Filet Mignon and 22 oz. Porterhouse. Stephen and his team of chefs prepare marinades and dressings from scratch, hand cut vegetables, garden fresh salads and a variety of pastas. Home style desserts are made daily and are sure to please. The BarThe bar with two 1913 fully restored river rock fireplaces, has its own place in Sacramento history. Just ask one of the more seasoned regulars for some stories of the good old times. To honor its heritage, the bar offers adult beverages that either originated or were made famous in Northern California. These include exact replicas of the Irish Coffee, a San Francisco tradition perfected at the Buena Vista Café. The Gold Cadillac, made popular in the Sierra foothills by a local favorite dive, Poor Reds, is another classic. Of course, the restaurant offers a full bar and full wine list featuring some local producers. Contact UsSheepherders Inn
